OANAPT – Elected Officials 2021

 

The upcoming election terms will be a rotation of even and odd year terms.  President, Secretary and Director of Membership will serve even year terms and will be up for election October 2022.  The Vice President and Treasurer will serve odd year terms and will be up for election October of 2023.  These 5 positions will be decided by nomination and member voting.

 

 

 

 

Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague that is interested in serving as one of OANAPT’s Elected Officers.  If you are nominating a colleague, please obtain their consent before submitting their name.  All nominees will need to be members of OANAPT. Nominations will close on October 5th, 2021.  Please email admin@oanapt.com with your nomination(s) and include name, picture, and biography of each nominee. 

 

Official voting will start on October 12th (at our October meeting) and end on October 18th.  Members will receive an email with a link to vote.   After voting closes, OANAPT will announce the winner of the elected positions on our website and Facebook page on November 1st.  

 

In addition to elections for the officer positions, OANAPT members can volunteer for many of the committees that are vital to this association.  The committee openings will be posted in the new year.  

 

The exiting officials will help with transitions and support for the newly elected.  The descriptions of each elected position will be listed on our website: https://oanapt.wildapricot.org/ for your review.  Please take the time to look over those descriptions and email admin@oanapt.com if you have any questions.

OANAPT EXECUTIVE BOARD AND DIRECTOR DUTIES: 

 

President duties:

  • Direct the organization and act as the principal officer of the Corporation. 

  • General supervision and direction of the directors and officers.

  • Set agendas for board or membership unless determined otherwise by board vote.

  • Lead meetings of the board or membership unless determined otherwise by board vote.

  • Sign Meeting minutes and work with the team to make sure the meeting minutes are available at the following meeting of the Leadership board or membership.

  • Report to the leadership/ board/ governance committees on matters pertinent to regular business.

  • Serve on committees as able or desired, and support requests from the governance committee for information as needed.

 

Vice President duties:

  • Assists with outlining duties and responsibilities of each member

  • Assist with planning, developing, and enforcing policies to ensure the association maintains its values and meets its established goals

  • Be in constant communication with President to ensure all tasks are assigned and progressing towards completion

  • Step into role of President should the President be unable to fulfill any roles

 

Secretary Duties

  • Board meeting minutes: Record attendees and minutes at Board meetings and keep record of meeting minutes.  Ensure meeting minutes are accepted and signed at the following meeting.

  • Schedule and reserve rooms for Quarterly meetings at locations determined by the Board.

  • Submit for PT, OT, and SLP CEUs.

  • Prepare the meeting agenda prior to Board meetings.

  • Keep all other official documents for OANAPT.

 

Treasurer duties: 

  • Keep and maintain, or cause to be kept and maintained, adequate and correct accounts of the properties and business transactions of the Corporation:

  • Ensure the books of account are open to inspection by any Director at all reasonable times: 

  • Provide a report of the Corporation's financial affairs at meetings of the Board and Membership and/or when requested by a Director or Member

  • Ensure appropriate oversight and implementation of the financial policies and procedures;

  • Have such other powers and duties as may be prescribed by the Board or Bylaws.

  • Treasurer will communicate, organize and file the Organization's taxes with the CPA agreed upon for annual tax preparation and completion.

 

Director of Membership duties:

  • Keep in contact with President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer and the Members, Assists each member in renewing membership, or obtaining membership to the organization

  • Keep records of all members, according to the present system used for doing so (electronic)

  • Communicate with members for membership questions and invoice those who wish to become members of the organization. Follow up with unpaid members transactions in accordance with keeping their membership current.

  • Contact lapsed members, to see if there is feedback as to improved membership experiences
